Human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were cultured in DMEM and DMEM/F12 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), respectively (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) and incubated in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO2 at 37°C.
