Sixty ICR mice were randomly divided into three groups (Blank, 5-ASA, CMCOS) and were orally administrated with 0.1 mL agents every day. Animals in the two experimental groups were given 1000 mg/kg 5-ASA or CMCOS, with distilled water as blank control. The time points for morphological and pathological examinations were 15 and 30 days.
