All participants underwent an extensive neuropsychiatric assessment that included the following instruments: Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) [17]; Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11 (BIS-11) [18]; Self Harm Inventory (SHI) [19]; Ruminative Response Scale (RRS) [20]; Anger Rumination Scale (ARS) [21]. In addition, the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory [22] was also administrate to evaluate the laterality of each participant; moreover, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) was also administrated to the BPD group.
