Mice were purchased from Jackson Laboratory and bred in-house. All animal procedures performed were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Femurs and tibias were harvested from C57BL/6 [wild-type (WT)] mice between 8 and 14 weeks of age to generate bone marrow-derived DC. WT mice were also used as recipients for in vivo adoptive transfer experiments. Transgenic B6.Cg-Tg(TcraTcrb)425Cbn/J (OT-II) mice were used as a source of naive CD4+ T cells responsive to ovalbumin (OVA323–339).
