P195A mutant mice were prepared using CRISPR/Cas9 technology as described previously.²⁶ ADAR1 knockout Adar^+/− mice were prepared via homologous recombination that deleted Exon 12–15 as described previously.³² Mice used in this study, including Adar^P195A/P195A, Adar^P195A/P195A/Ifih1^−/−, Adar^P195A/−, Adar^P195A/−/Ifih1^−/−, and Adar^+/− mice were in C57/BL6J and DBA2 mixed background. Ifih1 −/− mice were purchased from Jackson lab, strain #: 015812.
