The Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of all the pectin samples were recorded on an IR prestige-21 (Shimadzu Europa GmbH, Tokyo, Japan). For sample analysis, solid KBr pellets of samples were prepared under 150 kg/cm2 hydraulic pressure. The FTIR measurement was taken for all the samples in the range of 400–4000 cm−1 at a resolution of 1 nm.
