gDNA was removed from RNA preparations with ezDNase according to the manufacturer's protocol except the reaction was scaled to 6 μL total volume and 60 ng RNA was used.
To each tube, Superscript IV Vilo MM (2.40 μL, 5×) was added and the reactions were made up to 12.0 μL with MilliQ water. The reactions were mixed and incubated on the thermal cycler with the following program: annealed at 25 °C for 10 minutes, reverse transcribed at 50 °C for 10 minutes, and heat-deactivated at 85 °C for 5 minutes. The cDNA was stored at −80 °C.
