The study was authorised by the French data protection agency (Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés—CNIL, under registration number 2204867v0). No informed consent was required because the data used in the study were de-identified and re-used for research purposes, in accordance with French regulations applicable to French national health insurance system data.
