GraphPad Prism 6 was used to perform all the required analysis. All experiments were performed in triplicates. The results were presented as the mean of these triplicates ± standard deviation (SD). ANOVA with multiple comparisons post hoc test was used to test the significance among normally distributed data. Non-parametrical Kruscal–Wallis and Mann–Whitney tests were used whenever the data deviated from the normal distribution. Statistical significance was considered at a p-value of ≤0.05.
