Two reviewers (EJ and EH) independently screened the records and applied inclusion criteria for them. These criteria included: (a) peer-reviewed articles, (b) articles in Persian or English language, (c) primary studies that use qualitative methods, (d) mixed-method studies in which qualitative information about parents of children with autism is separately expressed and can be extracted, (e) studies conducted on Iranian parents residing in Iran. Any disagreement was resolved by discussion and consensus between two reviewers (EJ and EH) and another author of this article (corresponding author).
