A novelty suppressed food test (NSFT) was conducted according to previously published protocols. 32 , 33 Mice were deprived of food for 24 h. Testing was performed in a plastic box (60 × 60 × 40 cm3) covered with bedding and illuminated with dim light. A single pellet of food on round filter paper (11 cm in diameter) was placed in the center of the box, and a mouse was placed in the corner. The latency period before eating was recorded for 10 min. The mice were then returned to their home cages. Food consumption was calculated after 5, 10, and 30 min.
