Leukemic cells were cultured in methylcellulose medium supplemented with 25 ng/mL mr-SCF, 10 ng/mL mr-IL-3, and 10 ng/mL mr-IL-6. Cells were cultured in at least triplicate in a 5% CO2 incubator at 37°C. Detailed treatments were described in each figure legends accordingly. Colonies were counted at least after one week incubation and classified under the microscope. Images were obtained under a microscope installed with AxioVision software.
