The aims of the videos were to standardize instruction across semesters and to consistently help students: (a) develop comfort with breastfeeding and interacting with a breastfeeding family as a clinical lactation consultant and (b) understand the process and steps needed for a thorough lactation consultation. To achieve these aims, the development team created eight videos across five topics designed to cover the major components of an outpatient clinical lactation visit.
