Briefly, titanium isopropoxide (1 mM, 2.84 g) was continuously stirred into the PVAc solution with 1 mL of acetic acid. The solution was then supplemented with Tin(II)2-ethylhexanoate (1 m mole) and Zirconyl chloride octahydrate (ZrOCl2.8H2O, 0.5 mM) in 3 mL of ethanol. The resultant mixture was electrospun and calcined under the same circumstances as those described for making titania nanofibers.
