Cells were plated in culture flasks at an initial density of 103 cells/cm2 in the presence or absence of PPP (0.01–1 μM), and selected chemotherapeutics (vincrstine, actinomycin-D, cisplatin; all from Sigma Aldrich). The cell number was counted at 24, 48, and 72 h after culture start. At the time points, cells were trypsinized from the culture plates and the cells were counted using a cytometer (Beckman Coulter).
