LC-MS/MS analysis of acylcarnitines was performed on an Agilent 1290 LC-6490 QQQ-MS system. 5 μL sample was injected for analysis using positive ionization mode. Chromatographic separation was performed using a Waters XSelect HSS T3 column with flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. The mobile phase was composed of solvent A (100% H2O with 0.1% formic acid) and B (100% ACN with 0.1% formic acid). After the initial 0.5 min isocratic elution with 100% A, the percentage of A gradually decreased to 5% at t=10 min and maintained at 5% for 5 min (t=15 min). The extracted MRM peaks were integrated using Agilent Masshunter software.
