BALB/c Rag2−/− TS1 22, BALB/c Rag2−/− HA104 23, C57BL/6 actH60 13,35, C3H.SW and B10.D2 (The Jackson Laboratory) mice were maintained at the University of Pittsburgh. BALB/c mice were obtained from The Jackson Laboratory. TS1 mice were crossed to BALB/c Rag2−/− CD45.1, CD90.1 and GFP mice. B10.D2 mice were bred to BALB/c mice to create F1s. C3H.SW CD45.1 and dsRed mice were created as described 13. B6 TCF7DTR-GFP bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) transgenic mice were created by and obtained from Werner Held 51. Mice were housed under specific pathogen-free conditions at the University of Pittsburgh and handled in accordance with experimental protocols approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the University of Pittsburgh. Male and female donor and recipient mice between 7 and 14 weeks of age were employed.
