Total RNA was obtained from the whole heart of C57BL/6J mice fed with the high-fat diet for 25 weeks, with two individuals per group. The quality and integrity of RNA were first checked using a 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies) and the TruSeq Stranded mRNA assay (Illumina), and data analysis were done as described previously [42].
