Optimistic bias is the belief that COVID‐19 is less likely to happen to oneself than to others. It was assessed using two items: “How likely do you think your chances are to be infected with COVID‐19” and “How likely do you think other's chances are to be infected with COVID‐19.” We ran paired t‐test to analyse the differences between the items. The Cronbach α was 0.80 in the current study.
