The prefinal version of the ASCRS SPEED II-Thai was pilot tested on a small group of 30 cataract surgery candidates in a face-to-face manner. After completing the questionnaire, the investigator asked the participants to elaborate on how well they understood each item in the questionnaire and how well the different response options were reached. This was to confirm that the translated items retained the same meaning as the original items and that there were no confusing questions in the applied situation. Any problematic items were amended as required. The final version of ASCRS SPEED II-Thai was established.
