We used a POCUS device manufactured by the Butterfly Network (Butterfly iQ), with a 7.5–10-MHz linear array transducer, that connects directly to a mobile device or touchpad (6). All participants, both cases and NRCs, were scanned with the pediatric lung preset: field of view depth, 7 cm; mechanical index, 0.47; thermal index, 0.01; and focal point at a fixed depth of 3.5 cm (4).
