The pcDNA3.1-EIF1AX-shRNA, pcDNA3.1-EIF1AXsm, pcDNA3.1-EIF1AX-SV40NLS, pcDNA3.1-EIF1AXsm-SV40NLS, and pcDNA3.1-EIF1AX-NLSmut were all constructed by Hainan Shengzhe Biological Co., Ltd. (Hainan, China). Plasmids were propagated in E. coli DH5α and purified using a MN NucleoBond Xtra kit (Macherey-Nagel, Dueren, Germany). All sequences used are listed in Supplementary Figure 1 (Figure S1). Cells were transfected with Lipofectamine 3000 (Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions and harvested for further experiments after 48 hours.
