The adult and infant BMSCs, which were seeded at a density of 1 × 105 cells in 10-cm dish, were passaged every 7 days. The seeding density and incubation times remained constant throughout the study. The increased cellular numbers at each passage were counted to calculate the fold changes of cell number and doubling time of BMSCs.
