BMI was measured by the weight (kg) divided by the height in meters squared from the biennial health screenings. Changes in BMI was defined by subtracting the BMI value from period II to I. If the change was within 1 kg/m2, we classified it as BMI stable. If the change was > 1 kg/m2 or > −1 kg/m2 then it was classified as BMI gain or BMI loss, respectively. In addition, to analyze the association of various factors that influence weight gain, we additionally calculated muscle mass index and fat mass index based on age, height, weight, waist circumference, and serum creatinine [9]. Therefore, the increase in muscle mass index and fat mass index was defined by the measurement from each period.
