Animals:Swiss albino mice (both gender) weighing between 20 and 25 g were procured from the animal house of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra Ranchi, used for the breeding purpose (male:female = 1:3) and divided into two groups; the control, and the obese group. Each group comprises six mice, including three males and three females. The animals were housed in standard living conditions (humidity 60–65% and room temperature 24–27 °C with 12:12 light: dark cycles) and kept in the microbe’s free environment for the experimental procedure, where proper aeration, temperature, etc., were monitored regularly. The control group was kept with the usual diet; the obese group was kept on MSG (monosodium glutamate); HFD (high-fat diet). We took all the mice in duplicates and kept them in ventilated cage system (Mohanty and Pattnaik 2021).
