2.6. Cell Proliferation and Viability Assays

Cell proliferation was detected by the 5-ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine (EdU) staining assay using the Apollo 567 in vitro imaging kit. Cells were visualized using a fluorescent microscopy. The rate of cell proliferation was measured as the percentage of EdU-positive cells to total cells [24]. Cell viability was detected utilizing the CellTiter 96 AQueous one solution cell proliferation assay kit.
