Figure 4e of the main text shows dipolar and quadrupolar correlation lengths as a function of temperature. These have been obtained by computing ψ(β)Sj+Sj+rψ(β) and ψ(β)(Sj+)2(Sj+r)2ψ(β) correlation functions from the center of the chain j = c, respectively, and fitting with a exponential decay relationship f(r) = Aer/ξ.
