2.5. Statistical Analyses

Statistical analysis was performed using the software STATA/IC 14.2 version 2017. We tested the normality by Skewness/Kurtosis test. Data were reported as median values with an interquartile range (IQR), and direct comparisons were made with Mann-Whitney rank-sum tests or Kruskal-Wallis test. Percentages were used to describe categorical outcomes, and distributions of categorical data were compared with either a Pearson’s χ2 test or a Fisher’s exact test, as appropriate.
