Subjects were retrospectively enrolled in this study among those who underwent both 99mTc-MDP TBS and 99mTc-HMPAO-labeled WS between February 2014 and October 2015. Data were collected from symptomatic patients with a history of trauma who were clinically suspicious of OM and for whom the time interval between TBS and WS was 1 week or less. Twenty-one patients were included in this study. All had clinical symptoms of OM (mostly pain, swelling and redness with or without fever), and their abnormal laboratory data (elevated WBC count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and C-reactive protein (CRP)) was reviewed.
