One day before irradiation, the culture media were refreshed, and the cells were allowed to reach about 80% confluence. The γ-ray irradiation was carried out at a dose rate of 10 Gy/min in a GammaCell 220 irradiator containing a 137Cs radiation source (Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd).
