For disulfiram experiments, disulfiram-containing chow or control chow of the same composition (Dyets Inc.) was given neutral codes by an investigator not involved in the study and administered to the mice with the experimenter blind to experimental condition. For BMS 493 experiments, vials of drug and vehicle were given neutral codes, and each solution was used for one eye. In both cases, the experimental condition was revealed only after the primary analysis was complete.
