All of the animal experiments followed the Guidelines for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (Ministry Of Sciences and Technology, Taiwan) and were approved by the China Medical University Committee of Laboratory Animal Welfare (101-38-N). Liver-specific ARKO (LARKO) and HBVtg-LARKO mice as well as the spontaneous HCC mouse model were generated using previously described protocols [3, 4].
