Isolation of CD3+ T cells and CD19+ B cells from buffy coats from healthy blood donors, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from CLL patient samples, was performed as described [23, 24]. Isolated cells were cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen [24]. See Table 2 for patient characteristics.
