NCI-N87 and MKN-74 cells (2 × 105 cells/well) in a six-well plate were transfected with pEGFP-LC3 using Lipofectamin 2000 (Invitrogen), and then treated with CA (50 μg/mL, 24 h) for 24 h. A pEGFP-LC3B puncta was observed by confocal microscopy. Confocal microscopy was performed using a ZEISS LSM5 PASCAL confocal microscope with 405 and 488-nm excitation lasers.
