Synthesis of Findings

Results were reported using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines.¹⁶ Each article was assessed for its standard of documentation using the Minimum Information About Clinical Artificial Intelligence Modeling checklist.¹⁸ Simple descriptive statistics and pie charts were used to report frequencies of different machine learning algorithms applied across eligible studies. Next, the content of the abstracted domains of eligible studies were qualitatively synthesized. Based on domain expertise and discussions among coauthors, three categories of machine learning applications for the diagnosis and assessment of CHD emerged and results were summarized for each of these categories.
