The VAS score is designed as a 10-cm scale with pain descriptors marking “no pain” (scored as 0) on the left and “the worst pain imaginable” (scored as 10) on the right. This score is used to assess patients’ pain intensity. VAS-based assessments are a valid and reliable method for patients with migraines [11]. At each assessment, subjects’ perceived level of pain for the most recent attack was recorded by marking the VAS with a perpendicular line.
