Sodium dodecyl sulphate was added to a final concentration of 0.015% to each polysome fraction and incubated for 30 minutes in room temperature. Tri-chloroacetic acid (TCA) was added to polysome fractions at 25% of their volume. All the fractions were incubated for 30 minutes post-TCA addition followed by centrifugation at 13,000g for 30 minutes at room temperature. The pellets were washed with ice-cold acetone (Merck) twice and dried. Acetone residues were allowed to evaporate and the pellets were resuspended in Laemmli buffer.
