Leaf peels were collected from the abaxial side of 3- to 4-week-old plant leaves, and incubated in stomata-opening buffer (50 mM KCl, 10 mM CaCl2, and 10 mM MES, pH 6.15) in a growth chamber at 23 °C under constant illumination. Stomatal apertures were measured after treatment with mock, 10 µM flg22 or DC3000 (OD = 0.1) for 1 h using ImageJ software.
