Patient-specific data (Table 1) were recorded into a database. For fracture classification, CT scans and X-rays were used. During the follow-up, long-term outcome was assessed by validated questionnaires (Short Form–12 [SF-12], EuroQol-5D (EQ-5D), and visual analog scale for pain) to evaluate mobility, pain symptoms, and quality of life. In patients who had died, the date of death was documented.
