The HaCaT immortal human keratinocyte cell line was purchased from CLS Cell Lines Service GmbH (#300493; Eppelheim Germany). HaCaT cells were cultured in DMEM (3.7 g/L NaHCO3 and 110 mg/L sodium pyruvate) (Gibco) supplemented with 10% FBS, 1% penicillin–streptomycin, and 2 mM L-glutamine in a CO2 incubator at 37 °C.
