Cells were seeded into 96-well flat-bottom plates at a density of 5 × 104 per well and cultured for 24 hours, then treated with increasing dosage of the tested compounds for the 24 hours. The cells viability was assayed using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8, Dojindo Laboratories, Kumamoto, Japan) following manufacturer’s protocol. The concentration required to inhibit cell growth by 50% (IC50) was calculated from viability curves as previously report37.
