HEK293T cells were transfected with a plasmid for expressing firefly luciferase driven by the IFN-β promoter (provided by Michael Gale, Jr.), a Renilla luciferase reporter, and the other above-indicated plasmids. Twenty-four hours posttransfection, the lysates of the transfected cells were collected and subjected to a dual-luciferase reporter assay (Promega) according to the instructions of the assay kit manufacturer.
