The Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms were used to study the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent between adsorbent and adsorbate.

where Qmax is the maximum adsorption capacity of adsorbent (mmol/g); qe is the equilibrium adsorption capacity (mmol/g); Ce is the equilibrium concentration (mmol/L); and b is the equilibrium constant of adsorption in Langmuir isotherm model. The larger the value of b, the stronger the adsorption capacity. Kf and n are the adsorption constants in Freundlich isotherm model, and when n > 1, it is preferential adsorption.
