After the separation procedure, the percentage of drugs encapsulated was calculated. A UV–visible spectrophotometer (Agilent Technologies, Cary 50, USA) was used to measure the concentration of DFX in the supernatant in triplicate at 300 nm. The difference between the total drug and the drug content in the supernatant was used to calculate EE %.
