Neuro-2a cells (N2a) (ATCC, CCL-131) and 293T cells (ATCC, CRL-3216) were cultured according to standard procedures. Cells were growing in DMEM (Gibco, #12100061) supplemented with 10% FBS (Biological Industries, #1827594) and 1% penicillin/streptomycin (Gibco, #15070063) and incubated in 5% humidified CO2 incubator at 37 °C. Plasmid transfection was performed when cells were approximately 70–80% confluent using PEI (Sigma-Aldrich, #408727).
