Superficial PpIX fluorescence images were recorded at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 24 hours after precursor application (group 1, Table 1). The 2 hour measurement was performed by temporarily removing the occlusive dressing from the site of administration. Superficial fluorescence imaging was performed used a set-up adapted from that described previously using 532 nm excitation light and 625±20nm detection [23].
