Zebrafish

Zebrafish AB line was obtained from ZIRC (Eugene, OR, USA) (Varga, 2011) and an albino line (Kelsh et al., 1996) was obtained from the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology (Tübingen, Germany). Zebrafish were bred and maintained according to previously described methods (Westerfield, 2007; Nishimura et al., 2016). Briefly, zebrafish were raised at 28.5 ± 0.5°C with a 14/10 h light/dark cycle. Embryos were obtained and cultured in 0.3 × Danieau's solution (19.3 mM NaCl, 0.23 mM KCl, 0.13 mM MgSO₄, 0.2 mM Ca(NO₃)₂, 1.7 mM HEPES, pH 7.2) until 6 dpf.
