TMZ cytotoxicity was determined using the CCK8 assay kit (Biosharp, Beijing, China) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cancer cells (5×103 per well) seeded in 96-well plates were exposed to increasing concentrations of TMZ for the indicated times. The measurement of absorbance for each well was performed in triplicate at a wavelength of 450 nm on a microplate reader (SpectraMax M5, MDC, Sunnyvale, CA, USA).
