The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) is used to measure the perception of stress and degree of long-term stress. Scores range from 0 to 56, with a high score indicating a higher severity of stress than a low score [27]. The PSS will be implemented at five time points: baseline and weeks 4, 8, 12 and 24, respectively. The Chinese version of the PSS has been validated [28].
