The SWLS is a generic measure of life satisfaction [27]. The scale consists of five items rated on a five-point Likert scale, ranging from “strongly disagree” (1) to “strongly agree” (5). The item scores are summarized to a total score ranging from 5 to 25, with higher scores indicating more life satisfaction. The SWLS is widely used and has demonstrated good measurement properties [28]. However, the SWLS has not been used in CA populations. In the present study, the internal consistency was satisfactory according to Cronbach’s alpha (0.91).
